Tips and Precautions
Keep your hands in view
The gesture camera is located in the middle of the frame with the field of view in the direction of the user. Keep your hands in front of you, chest to head height, and avoid drooping onto your legs.
Blind Spot: In order to ensure accurate recognition and avoid accidental Touch, the system limits the range of hand recognition - when the hand is too low or the action is too large, the tracking will be temporarily lost.
Fatigue: Keeping your hands in a raised position for a long time may cause shoulder fatigue. It is recommended to rest your arms every 20–30 minutes to avoid muscle soreness.
Light & Environment
-
Sufficient and uniform ambient light can significantly improve the recognition rate.
-
Strong backlight (such as back to window) or all-black environment will cause loss of hands; recognition rate will be significantly reduced in extremely dark scenes such as turning off lights and watching movies. It is recommended to use under basic lighting.
-
Complex backgrounds, such as fast-moving objects, may temporarily interfere with tracking.
Prevent Accidental Input
-
Allow the hand to open naturally when it is not necessary to avoid unconscious pinching.
-
The cursor will automatically deactivate if the hand drops or moves out of view while inactive.
-
It is recommended to temporarily turn off the gesture function through the OSD menu when viewing the movie requires thorough immersion, or when performing complex hand movements such as drinking water or eating.
3D Mode Mutually Exclusive
Gesture functionality with 3D mode (half-width/full-width/3D space) is currently mutually exclusive. When 3D mode is turned on, the gesture function is automatically disabled; when gesture is turned on, 3D mode is automatically exited.
Power Consumption & Heating
Continuous high-frequency cursor dragging may cause the local temperature rise of the glasses to be slightly higher than that of daily viewing, which is a normal phenomenon.
System Compatibility
-
Desktop systems such as Windows/macOS cannot support the system navigation type buttons of the palm-back menu (such as return, recent tasks) due to the limitations of the underlying protocol. Only scrolling page turning and playback controls are available.
-
Some unmatched third-party apps may not be able to respond to playback commands from the palm-back menu.
