FAQ for XREAL One Series

How to turn the Glasses on/off?

Plug and play, XREAL One Series glasses do not have a built-in battery. When connected to a compatible device (such as a phone, tablet, or computer), the device will power the XREAL One Series glasses and they will turn on automatically. Once the cable is unplugged, the power stops and the glasses will turn off.

Can my existing XREAL prescription lenses work with XREAL 1S?

XREAL 1S uses the same prescription lens design as the XREAL One, but it is incompatible with earlier models (such as the Air series). If you have lenses for the One, they can be used directly with XREAL 1S. For other older models, we recommend getting new prescription inserts specifically designed for the latest generation.

How can I update the firmware?

Via Computer:
You can use a Windows or Mac computer to access the official update page at xreal.com/ota. Switch the language in the top-right corner, click "Connect" to authorize, and then click "Update Now." The update process is expected to take about 5 minutes.

With XREAL Beam Pro:
Please ensure your Beam Pro is connected to Wi-Fi. When XREAL 1S is connected to the Beam Pro, the system will automatically detect and prompt for a firmware update. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

What should I do if I can’t see clearly up close?

If you are nearsighted, we recommend using prescription lenses or compatible lens inserts with your XREAL glasses.

If your degree of nearsightedness is high, you may contact XREAL official support and provide your prescription details. We can assist with customized lens solutions.

If you experience blurry edges during use, try the following adjustments:

  1. Choose the appropriate nose pad size and adjust the temple arms to ensure a secure and proper fit.
  2. If you are nearsighted, install compatible prescription lenses to improve image clarity.
  3. Clean the lenses using a soft microfiber cloth. If necessary, gently wipe with a mild neutral cleaner and dry thoroughly to maintain lens clarity.

What should I do if I feel dizzy or nauseous while wearing the glasses?

Under normal conditions, XREAL AR glasses do not cause dizziness. However, a small number of users may experience temporary discomfort when using AR devices for the first time. Because when you see moving images or are in an immersive environment similar to VR, your vision may make your brain feel as if your body is moving, while your inner ear balance system does not detect corresponding motion signals. When these two signals do not match, sensory conflict may occur, which can lead to discomfort such as dizziness or nausea.

To help reduce discomfort, try the following:

  1. Adjust the viewing angle and temple arm position until they feel comfortable.
  2. Lower the screen brightness and shorten usage time.
  3. Reduce the screen size or increase the screen distance to lessen the immersive effect caused by a large field of view. Once you gradually adapt, you can then use more immersive features like 「3D Mode」/「REAL 3D」 or try larger FOV to obtain a more immersive experience.

If the discomfort continues, it is recommended to stop using the glasses for a while and resume use after resting.
