Before You Begin

The XREAL Eye is an external RGB camera module mounted in the middle of the front frame of the glasses to recognize your hand gesture, convert the gesture into a "mouse and button" signal, and send it to the currently connected device (phone, computer, or the glasses' own OSD).

Before beginning:

  • The glasses are on and connected to a host device (Android phone, iPhone/iPad, or computer with DP input).

  • The XREAL Eye has been correctly inserted into the camera interface of the glasses (see device instructions for details).

  • Use the feature in a well-lit environment without strong backlighting. Light can significantly affect the stability of hand tracking.

  • Keep your hands as close as possible to the front of the glasses camera (see Keep your hands in view).

  • If you wear gloves, have long fingernails, or your fingers are obscured, the recognition success rate will decrease.

Gesture control is currently experimental. Some gestures and settings may be adjusted with the version; if a gesture is not available in your firmware version, follow the options shown in your glasses' OSD menu.

Important (iOS/iPadOS users):

If you are connected to an iPhone or iPad, you need to turn on the AssistiveTouch and Zoom on the phone before the on-screen cursor can be displayed and respond:
