Frequently Asked Questions
Is the gesture feature on by default? How do I turn it on?
Off by defaultDouble-click the X key on the right side of the glasses to open the OSD menu → Additional → Lab → Gesture Controls and turn the Gesture Switch to ON. Starting for the first time will automatically start the tutorial.
On-screen cursor not showing/not responding after connecting iPhone?
iOS needs to turn on system-assisted Touch control first: mobile phone Settings → Accessibility → Touch → Assistive Touch → Turn on. Otherwise the on-screen cursor will not display and respond.
Scrolling does not work after connecting iPhone?
iOS requires system zoom to be turned on: Phone Settings → Accessibility → Zoom → Zoom → Open, then double-click with three fingers to resize the screen.
Cursor does not appear (non-iOS)?
Make sure the Gesture Control switch is on; check that the XREAL Eye is plugged in and the lens indicator is on; make sure the hand is in view and the ambient light is sufficient.
Pinching did not react?
Keep it about 300 milliseconds after pinching; keep your fingertips less than about 2.2 centimeters apart. If the finger is opened too quickly, it will be judged to be released.
Page turn direction is reversed?
Enter the gesture setting to change the "Scroll Direction" from forward to reverse (or vice versa).
Backhand pinching does not evoke a palm-back menu?
Check for a full "back of hand + pinching" posture; head orientation should be approximately the same as hand orientation. Only palm up does not trigger.
Some buttons are invalid after connecting iPhone?
Set Menu Mode to iOS (iPadOS); iOS supports individual commands such as Recent Tasks differently than Android/HarmonyOS.
Gestures unavailable when 3D mode is on?
Gestures and 3D mode are mutually exclusive: gestures are automatically disabled when 3D mode is turned on, and 3D mode is automatically exited when gestures are turned on.
Gesture tracking is inconsistent?
Mostly due to light or hands out of view. Keep your hands in the center of the field of view, avoid backlighting, and reduce the cursor speed appropriately to improve stability.
Cursor freezes or gestures stop responding (sporadic)?
Cursor freezing may occur in some cases. Reseat the cable between the glasses and the host device to restore it.
