Using at Home
Watching Videos and Playing Games
- Sit down and place the Compute Puck somewhere ventilated where it will not slip, or secure it with the belt clip. Keep cushions, clothing, and bedding away from the vents.
- Route the glasses cable along one side of your body. Avoid pressing on the connectors or pulling on the temples.
- Open a video or game app and adjust the window size and position. If you change your seating position, use the X button to recenter.
- Adjust lens tint and display brightness for the room's lighting. Connect Bluetooth headphones when you do not want to disturb others.
- Games that support controllers can be used with a Bluetooth controller. We recommend the XREAL Game Controller; you can press and hold the Home button to activate Gemini Live.
Reading and Working
- Place your main window in front of you and reference material to the side. Adjust text size and window distance so you do not need to keep leaning forward or turning your head to read.
- For longer text entry, connect a Bluetooth keyboard. We recommend the XREAL Keyboard with its ultra-portable tri-fold design.
- To view your computer's screen, see Wired Mirroring (DP-in).
Connecting Bluetooth accessories
- Put your headphones, keyboard, mouse, or controller in pairing mode, following its instructions.
- On XREAL AURA, open Settings > Connected devices > Pair new device.
- Select the accessory name. If a pairing confirmation appears, confirm it; if a code is displayed, complete the code entry requested on screen.
Verify the connection: play audio to check that it comes from the headphones, enter text with the keyboard, move the mouse to check the pointer, or test a controller in a game that supports it.
Pausing and Finishing a Session
- Taking a break or talking to someone: Pause playback or save your work before removing the glasses. The device enters sleep when you remove or disconnect the glasses.
- Continuing a session: Reconnect and put on the glasses, unlock if needed, and return to your app.
- Finishing a session: Save your work, press Power + Volume Up on the Compute Puck (and select Power off in the menu), or press and hold the Power Button for 3.5 seconds to shut down directly. The LED on the Compute Puck turns off when shutdown is complete. Wait for the LED to turn off before packing the device.
See Power and Charging for battery, charging, and sleep information, and Storage and Carrying for device and cable placement.
