Securing the Compute Puck
Use the belt clip to secure the Compute Puck to a pocket or waistband, or use the lanyard to wear it around your neck or crossbody. Keep the device secure without pulling on the glasses cable or covering the vents.
Using the Belt Clip
- Support the Compute Puck with one hand and align the belt clip with the mounting slot on its back, as shown below.
- Press firmly to lock: After inserting, firmly press down on the clip until it clicks into place. Ensure the clip is fully engaged to prevent the Compute Puck from loosening or accidentally dropping during use.
- Check that the clip is securely attached, then clip it to a pocket edge or waistband. Keep the Compute Puck outside your clothing so the vents remain uncovered.
- Check that the fabric or waistband supports the device without the clip slipping. The Compute Puck normally hangs upside down, allowing the cable to route upward.
- Route the glasses cable along one side of your body, leaving enough slack to turn your head without pulling on the connectors.

Using the Lanyard
The lanyard is included with the 16GB model only.
- Support the Compute Puck and insert the lanyard connector into its mounting slot.
- Press to secure and test: Press down firmly on the connector to ensure it locks securely, then give it a gentle tug to verify before wearing around your neck or crossbody. This prevents the puck from detaching and falling while moving.
- Position the Compute Puck so it does not press uncomfortably against your body. Keep its vents clear and leave enough slack in the glasses cable.
- Before removing the lanyard or changing how you wear it, hold the Compute Puck to prevent it from dropping.
Check Before Use
- Make sure the clip or lanyard is securely attached and the Compute Puck cannot easily slip.
- Keep the cable and lanyard from wrapping around your neck or catching on door handles or other objects.
- Do not operate the Compute Puck for extended periods in tight pockets or sealed bags.
- If the device becomes noticeably hot, remove it from contact with your body immediately.
