Adjust the Fit
Before first use, adjust the temples, nose pads, and wearing position so that the image is clear and the glasses feel comfortable.
1. Put on the Glasses and Check the Image
- Connect the glasses to a compatible device and confirm that an image appears.
- Put on the glasses and look straight ahead.
- Check that the image is centered, the full display is visible to both eyes, and there is no obvious cropping or misalignment.
If the image is too high or too low, adjust the fit as described below.
2. Adjust the Wearing Position
Adjust the Temples
The temples support three vertical positions. Adjust both sides to the same position, then put on the glasses again and check that you can see the full image without uneven pressure.
Adjust or Replace the Nose Pads
XREAL 1 Pro+ includes S, M, and L nose pads. The M nose pad is pre-installed; S and L pads are supplied in the box. Choose a size that suits your nose bridge to help you see the full image comfortably.
| Nose-pad size | Fit guidance |
|---|---|
| S (small) | Higher nose bridge |
| M (medium, pre-installed) | Medium-height nose bridge |
| L (large) | Lower nose bridge |
Replacement steps:
- Take off the glasses and remove the existing nose pad.
- Choose a replacement size and align it with the mounting slot.
- Gently press the nose pad into place until it is secure.
- Check that it is firmly attached, then put on the glasses and confirm that both eyes can see the full, clear image.
If the image appears too high, try the L nose pad. If it appears too low, try S. After changing the pad, fine-tune the temple angles until the full image is visible and the glasses fit securely without pressure.
Prescription Lenses, If Needed
The prescription lens frame is not included. If you use a compatible prescription lens accessory, follow its fitting instructions, check that it is securely attached, and confirm that the image remains properly aligned.

3. Test the Buttons
- Press and hold 「X」 to recenter the screen; double-click it to open the OSD.
- Click 「+」 or 「−」 to open the 「Quick Panel」 and check that you can adjust the selected item.
- Click the 「Quick」 button to cycle through 「Standard」 → 「Cinema」 → 「Reading」 → 「Standard」 under the default assignment, or check the shortcut you have customized.
4. Start Using the Glasses
Confirm that the image is stable and clear and that the glasses feel secure without pinching. If the image is still unclear, see connection and display troubleshooting.
Device Connection
XREAL 1 Pro+ can be used with compatible phones, tablets, computers, gaming handhelds, and game consoles. The connection method depends on the source device's video output and any adapter it requires.
DisplayPort (DP) carries video and audio to an external display. For direct USB-C connection, the source port must support DP video output. A USB-C connector alone does not guarantee compatibility. Check the device specifications or contact its manufacturer if you are unsure.
Supported Device Types
| Device type | Connection requirements |
|---|---|
| Smartphones and tablets | Direct connection for models with USB-C DP video output; other interfaces require a compatible adapter. |
| Laptops and desktop computers | Direct connection through a USB-C port with DP video output, or a compatible adapter for another video output. |
| Gaming handhelds | Direct connection for models with USB-C DP video output. |
| Game consoles and other HDMI devices | A compatible HDMI-to-USB-C video adapter, with the required power supply and console dock where applicable. |
USB-C Direct Connection
- Confirm that the source's USB-C port supports DP video output.
- Connect the glasses to that port using a compatible USB-C video cable.
- If prompted by the source device, allow the connection or select the external display output.
- Put on the glasses and confirm that a stable image appears.
This method applies to compatible Android phones and tablets, USB-C iPhones and iPads, USB-C computers, and handhelds such as Steam Deck or ROG Ally. Verify the exact model and port before connecting.
Connection Through an Adapter
- PlayStation, Xbox, and HDMI computers: Connect the HDMI video output to an adapter that accepts HDMI input and outputs USB-C video for the glasses. Connect any power supply required by the adapter.
- Switch family: Use a dock or connection accessory compatible with the specific console model, then connect the glasses through a supported video-output path. Check the accessory requirements for your console before use.
- Other device interfaces: Use an adapter explicitly compatible with the source device and the glasses.
A USB-C-to-HDMI adapter intended to connect a computer to an HDMI monitor does not serve the reverse connection described here.
Feature Compatibility and Connection Checks
Available resolutions, refresh rates, UltraWide formats, and audio behavior depend on the source device, operating system, and adapter. See screen formats and Display and Sound for mode requirements.
A successful connection produces a stable image in the glasses. If there is no picture or sound, check the video-output capability, cable, adapter direction, and required power supply, then see connection and display troubleshooting or audio troubleshooting.
